Ryder's March Recap: a security audit, a major update, a new website, and lots more
by Nisheta Sachdev
March was a full month. We shipped our biggest product update yet, launched a dedicated home for TapSafe, completed a third-party security audit with Halborn, got featured in the press, and expanded our footprint in the Middle East. Here's everything that happened.
Ryder OS 1.6.0 shippedOur latest product update landed at the end of the month. You can now import your existing recovery phrase directly into Ryder One and layer TapSafe backups on top! Ryder Swap is live too, letting you trade across chains without leaving the app. Plus a randomized PIN keyboard and a round of performance improvements across firmware and app. Hopefully by the time you’re reading this, you’ve updated your Ryder One and tried our the Ryder Swap feature!
You can read the full breakdown of this update here.
A Highlight on TapSafe
This month, we built a dedicated home for TapSafe. If you've ever wanted to understand exactly how our recovery system works, this is the place to start. Visit it our new TapSafe Website and watch Marvin, co-founder of Ryder, talk all about it.
You can also read our blog on how TapSafe works here.
Halborn Security Audit: complete
Ryder One's firmware passed a full security audit by Halborn, one of the most respected blockchain security firms in the industry. We asked them to stress-test everything. They did. Read the full blog and report here.
ICYM our content this month, here’s a quick rundown.
In Feb, we kicked off a series featuring thought leaders sharing their personal journeys into self-custody, on camera, while unboxing Ryder One. These aren't ads. They're honest conversations about why owning your crypto matters. These industry leaders also unbox Ryder One and give their raw opinions. Watch the series here.
Nish, our marketing lead was featured on CoinTelegraph Brazil and Outset PR for her insights on growth and marketing.
Nish also became a Superteam UAE member, which means Ryder is now part of the incredible Superteam ecosystem, connecting us deeper into the Middle East's growing crypto ecosystem.
To celebrate, we launched a 30% discount for Superteam. Use the code SUPERTEAM at checkout!
What's coming in April
Let’s be honest, we haven’t had a slow month at Ryder. So, in April, we’re planning a few big milestones for Ryder One. First, we're open sourcing TapSafe, opening up our recovery system to the broader developer community for the first time. Second, we’re launching a whole new set of features. Third, something major in the first few days of April, so let’s just say it’s going to be a big month.
