Bitcoin is now supported with Ryder One
It’s finally here: Ryder One now supports https://bitcoin.org/en/.
You can send, receive, and secure Bitcoin directly on your Ryder One. Your keys stay offline in the secure element. Confirming a transaction takes just one tap.
But why did support for Bitcoin take so long?
A lot of customers have asked us why support for Bitcoin took us this long. Web3 veteran and co-founder of Ryder, Louise Ivan Payawal explains:
"Most people think Bitcoin is easier to integrate. It’s actually the opposite. The stack is legacy as it is the oldest tech there is in crypto rigid constraints. That’s why even teams with world-class engineers take months (or years) to ship anything meaningful on Bitcoin. Compare that to newer chains like Solana, where modern tooling and composability let teams move fast. Bitcoin moves slow by design. Every serious infra team knows this. Which is exactly why when something finally ships on Bitcoin, it carries real weight.

Reveal your Secret Recovery Phrase when you need it
Another requested feature is now available: the option to reveal your 24-word seed phrase in the device’s settings.
This allows you to import your wallet into another hardware or software wallet whenever needed. TapSafe remains our recommended way to protect your wallet, but this option ensures your Ryder One stays fully compatible with the broader ecosystem.
User interface improvements
We’ve refined the Ryder One’s interface. OS updates now load with a clearer animation, and the recovery process shows a progress status so you always know where you are. Behind the scenes, we’ve made stability fixes.
Roadmap: what’s next
We’re just getting started. Here’s a preview of what’s coming next:
- ERC-20 tokens — support for Ethereum-based tokens
- SPL tokens — support for Solana-based tokens
- Buy/Sell crypto — the ability to purchase and sell assets directly via the Ryder App
