Update Guide - Ryder OS
Keep your Ryder One up to date with the latest OS. Here’s how to check for updates and complete the installation.
Before you begin, make sure

Update process
- Open the Ryder App, then go to Settings > My Ryder.
- If a new update is available, tap New update available.
- Review the OS version and what’s new, then tap Download update.
- Turn on your Ryder One and make sure it’s unlocked.
- Place your Ryder One in the correct NFC zone on your phone.
- Keep the device steady while the update runs. The update will pause and restart several times. This is expected.
For iPhone: The NFC reader is usually near the top of the device.
For Android: The NFC area differs by model, but it’s typically located on the upper back.
Finalise the installation
- Once the update is complete, press the button on Ryder One when prompted.
- In the app, tick the checkbox to confirm the installation, then tap Continue.
- You’re now running the latest version of Ryder One OS.
Having trouble? Try this
- Restart your phone and Ryder One
- Ensure NFC is enabled and nothing is blocking the NFC area
- Make sure Ryder One is charged
