Even though we were prepared to ship after collecting your final addresses a few weeks ago, our team made the difficult decision to extend the shipping timeline by three more months. We know this isn’t what you were expecting, and we truly apologize for the delay.
There are two reasons for this decision:
First, we need more time for field testing with our beta testers. Having devices in the field allows us to gather real-world feedback and address any issues that may only arise in actual use. So far, the results have been excellent. As a result, we’re shipping additional units to beta testers this month — it will take at least another 1.5 months of rigorous testing with our beta users.
Second, we’ve hired an additional security expert to perform attacks on Ryder One’s hardware and firmware. While our internal testing over the past few months hasn’t uncovered critical flaws, it’s important to continue pushing the limits. Security is our priority, and we want to ensure that Ryder One is flawless before shipping. This extra time will allow for more in-depth testing, including penetration tests and simulated attack scenarios.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we take this crucial step to deliver the best possible product.
To reinforce our commitment to security, we’ve partnered with Cyril Engmann, an expert in cybersecurity and hardware design. Cyril has years of experience working with the U.S. Army’s Threat Systems Management Office, where he developed tools for Red Team exercises and conducted penetration tests. Now, he’s leading the charge on security testing for Ryder One.
Cyril is working tirelessly to ensure that there are no vulnerabilities, leaving no stone unturned. Watch the video for full details on how Cyril’s expertise is making Ryder One the safest hardware wallet on the market.
We know that part of the excitement isn’t just about receiving your Ryder One—it’s about the entire experience, including the unboxing. That’s why we’ve put just as much thought into the packaging as we have into the device itself.
In the video, you’ll see a sneak peek at the sleek, eco-friendly packaging we’ve designed for Ryder One, as well as a look at the carefully curated accessories that come with it. We can’t wait for you to unbox your own Ryder One and see the attention to detail firsthand!
We’re thrilled with the incredible response to Ryder One and are more excited than ever to get it into your hands. While we know that this isn’t the news you were hoping for, we’re confident that this additional time will ensure a smoother, safer, and better overall experience for you as a user.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be shipping Ryder One to an additional 50 beta users. If you’re one of the lucky ones, check your inbox for more details. We’ll also be showcasing Ryder One at Bitcoin Amsterdam, so if you’re attending, drop by to get a hands-on demo and meet the team!
Thank you for your continued patience. With these extra security measures in place, we’re confident Ryder One will be the easiest and most secure hardware wallet when it ships later this year. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via Discord or email! 🙂
