How is Ryder One different from Ledger / Trezor?
Most hardware wallets still rely on a 24-word seed phrase for backup — meaning you're responsible for storing it safely, forever. Ryder One replaces that with TapSafe: just tap your Recovery Tag to back up and recover your wallet, fully offline. No words to write down, no single point of failure.
Beyond recovery, Ryder One connects to your phone via NFC — no Bluetooth, no WiFi, no USB data transfer. Every interaction is a tap. Setup takes under 60 seconds, and every transaction is confirmed physically on the device.
You still have full access to your seed phrase on-device if you ever want it. Ryder One doesn't take anything away — it just removes the parts that made hardware wallets stressful.

How does TapSafe Recovery work?
TapSafe Recovery uses Shamir Secret Sharing, an established algorithm that splits your backup into shares. These shares are securely saved on your Recovery Tag, phone, or Recovery Contacts.
